A  self-styled group  which calls itself , the Coalition of Ondo State Indigenes Against Corruption (COIAC), had on Tuesday staged a protest against Prof. Fatusi,accusing him of  corruption. The Federal High Court in Abuja, on Wednesday, reinstated Philip Shaibu as the Deputy Governor of Edo State. The court nullified the impeachment process by the Edo State House of Assembly, deeming it unconstitutional. The court also ordered the Inspector General of Police to immediately restore Shaibu’s security details and mandated the payment of his salaries and allowances from April. This comes after Shaibu was removed from office in April 2024, and Godwins Omobayo was sworn in as his replacement. Shaibu had described his removal as illegal and vowed to fight it. It was gathered that the institution introduced a 10-hour daily electricity supply with effect from Tuesday.
