The University of Ibadan, Ibadan,  on Saturday, explained why it has not issued certificates to its  2022 graduates of the  Medicine and Surgery and Dentistry (MB:BS) programme. In a statement signed by the Registrar and Secretary to Council of the university,  Ganiyu Saliu, the management said it never refused to issue the said certificates to the graduates. Saliu explained that there were technical issues which were responsible for the delay. The Registrar said the certificate is now ready for collection. Popular oil mogul and politician, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah is reportedly dead. The Anambra Senator was said to have passed on in London. An Ibadan-based human rights activist and lawyer, Femi Aborisade, yesterday, threw his weight behind the proposed August 1 protests across the country. Yoruba Council of Elders [YCE] and an elder statesman, Dr. Kunle Olajide, on Thursday, mourned the passage of the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyawu, who passed away yesterday,  in Abuja at the age of 82. Jide Iwuanyanwu, the son of the late Chief, in  a  statement, said the 82-year-old Iwuanyanwu died  after struggling with illness.
