The Asiwaju of Ijesaland, Olayinka Fasuyi, on Thursday, mourned the passing of the Owa Obokun of Ijesaland, Oba (Dr.) Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran.
It was gathered that Oba Aromolaran, who had been on the throne for 42 years, joined his forebears on Wednesday.
It was learned that the 87-year-old Aromolaran was admitted at the Obafemi Awolowo University Hospital, Ile-Ife,Osun State till Wednesday.
In a tribute made available by Fasuyi in Ibadan, the Ijesa leader, Fasuyi, lamented that the pride of Yoruba traditional intellectualism has exited the stage.
The Owa Obokun Adimula of Ijesaland, whose palace is located at Ilesa, is the paramount ruler of the Ijesha people living in six local governments of Osun State.
Fasuyi said: “An era comes to an abrupt end! A monumental history closes! The lion departs the forest! The torch bearer of Oduduwa relocates!
