The Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi has prayed for a peaceful and prosperous Nigeria, saying all hard things will become easy.
Oba Ogunwusi stated this on July 28,2024,while speaking at the 70th birthday and 40th anniversary of divine call to the gospel music ministry of the Ibadan-based singer, Evangelist Funmi Aragbaye. The event took place at Jogor Centre, Ibadan.
Ooni said the impacts of Aragbaye were effectual in the Christian ministry.
The monarch said: “I am happy to grace this occasion. I have to come here. We have a meeting about the country to attend and I need to leave on time. We will not see problems in Nigeria. Almost all the hard things will become easy. I congratulate the iconic evangelist for the celebration of her birthday and the launch of the foundation and the book”.
Also speaking, former Governor Isa Yuguda of Bauchi State urged the young ones to emulate the life of service and humility of Aragbaye.
The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God,Pastor Adejare Adeboye, who was represented by the National Overseer of the RCCG, Pastor Sunday Akande, prayed for a more fruitful life for Aragbaye.
Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State, who was represented by his Special Adviser on Environment, Dr. Olayemi Adeyemi ,lauded the contributions of the celebrant to humanity.
While speaking, Funmi Aragbaye thanked God for the gift of life and the impacts she made in life. Evangelist Ebenezer Fabiyi Obey also graced the occasion and sang.
