Speaking with journalists in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, Aborisade, however, said the only way the protests could be averted was the government to meet the demands of Nigerians.
The lawyer said the protest became necessary over the hardship in the country occasioned by high cost of living after the removal of fuel subsidy
He asserted that if President Bola Tinubu had the courage to remove the subsidy, he must have the same temerity to return it.
Aborisade said: ‘’I’m in full and total support. I call on all Nigerians who are bearing the brunt of harsh economic policies of the federal government to join the peaceful protests as planned by the organisers.
‘’To avert the protests, the government should address the clear demands of the protesters, predicated on high cost of living.
‘’The President who had the courage to announce “oil subsidy is gone” should also have the courage to withdraw the policy, having realised it is the singular main cause of the hardship being protested against’’.
