The Olu-Odo of Odo-Ijesha, Oba Olufemi Olayinka, has mourned the call unto glory of one of the prominent leaders of Odo-Ijesha, Elder Titus Ayodele Abimbola
Elder Abimbola of Orisa Compound joined the saints triumphantly on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at the age of 84.
In a statement he personally signed, Oba Olayinka said it was painful to have lost such a valuable and resourceful elder at this time when his wisdom is mostly needed.
The Royal Father, however, took solace in the fact that the elder statesman lived a productive, impactful, and fulfilled life.
He recalled the support of the late icon to the community and the royalty of the ancient town.
“The death of Elder Titus Abimbola came as a shock. It is painful that the statesman has passed on during this time when his wisdom and insights are needed.
“However, I take solace in the fact that he lived an impactful, successful, and fulfilled life.
“I therefore celebrate his legacies of love, service, and impacts. His support to Odo-Ijesha and my leadership were unquantifiable. He was an elder statesman par excellence.
“At this period, my hearts goes to his doting wife,Mrs. Abimbola; erudite Prof. Kanmi Abimbola, his nucleus and extended families, the Orisa Chieftaincy family, and all Odo sons and daughters. May the Creator console every one, “he said.
