The Vice-Chancellor of Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo, Prof. Timothy Adebayo, expressed his enthusiasm for the expected benefits of the mind education programme, which he spearheaded in collaboration with a team of experts from South Korea.
Speaking at a gathering in the school auditorium where the South Korean team addressed a large audience of students, the VC highlighted that the program will be implemented from 100 to 400 levels.
The VC further stated that the teaching methodology will encompass module unit approach, blended and hybrid learning, as well as virtual and physical components, among other innovative methods.
He said: “The course has been broken down into three modules which cover an entire semester. At the end of the course, we expect positive change, accountability for decisions and actions, becoming what God wants, becoming good citizens in a competitive world and promotion of excellence in academics and moral.”
Pastor Jun Kyong Lee, the leader of the Korean team, highlighted to the students the significance of mind education, stating that a shift in mindset can lead to a transformed environment and a stronger nation.
He urged the Vice-Chancellor to support their team in disseminating this knowledge across Nigeria, saying that his interactions with the VC had instilled confidence in him that it is feasible to combat social vices among Nigerian youth through education.
