As you read this, I hope you gain insight into the core of who I am, while also drawing inspiration from the path I have walked. The story I share is one of resilience, determination, and an unwavering commitment to serving others, both privately and professionally.
EARLY LIFE
I was born on Monday, January 20, 1975, in the historic town of Iwo, Osun State, Nigeria, to Alhaji Abdulamid ADISA (known by many as Kulukulu) and Mrs. Khadijat Abeki ADISA. I am the firstborn of my mother and the 28th child among 42 children in our extended family, raised by my father’s eight wives. This unique family environment, where traditions and values were interwoven into our everyday lives, instilled in me a profound appreciation for family bonds, communal support, and the importance of upholding one’s responsibilities. From a young age, I embraced the values of hard work, humility, and the transformative power of education, all of which would guide my path in life.
Despite the size of our family, we shared a close-knit home where communal celebrations and traditional customs were deeply cherished. This extensive network of family, neighbors, and community elders created a nurturing environment, one that fostered in me a strong sense of belonging and responsibility. It was here that I first learned the significance of serving others, a principle that would shape both my personal and professional aspirations. I was encouraged to pursue academic excellence, and with the support of my family, I approached my studies with dedication and a desire to contribute positively to my community.
My formal education journey began at Baptist Day School in Oke Odo, Iwo, the first school established in the town in 1922. This institution provided the early foundation of my learning and curiosity, inspiring me to pursue knowledge with rigor. Following my time at Baptist Day School, I moved on to Iwo Grammar School, where my passion for academics truly flourished. Between 1989 and 1991, I held the position of Food Prefect, a role that taught me accountability and leadership, and I was an active member of the school’s football team, which strengthened my teamwork skills and discipline.
Throughout my years at Iwo Grammar School, I received several awards that celebrated my academic achievements, particularly in the arts and social sciences. In 1989, 1990, and 1991, I was honored as the best student in the arts and social sciences, an achievement that underscored my dedication to these disciplines. I also received awards for being the best student in History (1989, 1990, and 1991), Yoruba (1989), and English Literature (1989, 1990, and 1991). These recognitions encouraged me to continually strive for excellence, deepening my love for knowledge and critical thinking. I also excelled in mathematics, a subject I found both challenging and intellectually rewarding, laying the groundwork for my future career in finance.
After completing my secondary education, I enrolled at Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, where I pursued my passion for finance and accounting. I earned both my National Diploma and Higher National Diploma in Accountancy, building a solid foundation for my career in accounting and finance. My educational journey was marked by discipline and a commitment to understanding the intricacies of financial management, skills that would later prove invaluable in my professional life.
This early period of my life, shaped by family values, academic achievements, and a growing sense of purpose, set me on a path of lifelong learning and service. The lessons I learned and the experiences I gathered during these formative years continue to influence my dedication to community service and professional excellence.
ADOLESCENCE
My teenage years were a period of growth, self-discovery, and foundational learning. Like many young people, I faced the challenges of academic pressures and personal growth. However, I was fortunate to be surrounded by a network of mentors, including teachers and community leaders, who took a genuine interest in my development. These individuals provided me with invaluable guidance and support, helping me to navigate the complexities of adolescence and instilling in me the importance of self-discipline, responsibility, and a strong sense of purpose.
During this time, I began to recognize my potential and explore ways in which I could use my skills and knowledge to make meaningful contributions to society. My mentors’ encouragement and belief in my abilities motivated me to set high standards for myself and to remain focused on achieving them. This was a period of significant self-reflection, during which I developed a deeper understanding of who I was and what I aspired to become.
One of the habits that profoundly shaped my adolescence was my love for reading. I became an avid reader, immersing myself in books that broadened my perspective and deepened my understanding of the world around me. I firmly believe in the adage, “Readers are leaders,” a principle that guided me during my teenage years and continues to do so today. Reading not only expanded my knowledge but also provided me with the inspiration and tools to think critically and creatively. This intellectual curiosity became a cornerstone of my personal growth and remains a lifelong passion.
Through reading, I gained exposure to diverse ideas, cultures, and philosophies, which significantly influenced my worldview. It fostered in me a spirit of lifelong learning and a commitment to self-improvement. To this day, I continue to read widely, drawing from various disciplines and perspectives to enrich my understanding and inform my decisions.
These formative years laid the foundation for the values that have defined my life: a dedication to education, a commitment to personal growth, and an unwavering belief in the power of knowledge to transform lives. They also solidified my resolve to contribute positively to my community, a goal that has remained central to my journey.

PERSONAL CHALLENGES AND TRIUMPHS
Life, as I have come to understand, is a blend of trials and triumphs that shape us into who we are. My journey has been no exception, marked by moments of difficulty that tested my resilience and fueled my determination to succeed. These challenges—whether personal or professional—have been opportunities for growth, teaching me invaluable lessons about strength, adaptability, and the human spirit.
Overcoming Personal Challenges
Growing up in a large family, I witnessed firsthand the complexities of managing relationships and resources. Financial constraints were a part of my early life, but they also became the driving force behind my dedication to education and professional excellence. I understood from an early age that hard work and perseverance were essential to overcoming obstacles and achieving success.
As an adult, I faced the loss of loved ones, a reminder of life’s fragility and the importance of cherishing every moment. These personal losses, while deeply painful, strengthened my resolve to honor their memories through meaningful contributions to my family and community.
Navigating Professional Setbacks
In my professional journey, I encountered challenges that tested my skills, patience, and leadership abilities. Leading teams, managing complex financial operations, and adapting to rapidly changing business environments required more than technical expertise—it demanded emotional intelligence and resilience. Each setback, whether a missed opportunity or a tough decision, taught me to approach problems with a solution-oriented mindset and to view failure as a stepping stone to success.
Triumphs and Milestones
Despite the hurdles, my life has been blessed with numerous achievements that I hold dear. Becoming a Chartered Accountant and later a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) were defining moments in my career, affirming the value of my dedication and hard work. My roles across various industries have not only enriched my professional experience but also allowed me to mentor others and contribute to the growth of organizations and communities.
Equally fulfilling has been my community service. From empowering youth through education to leading charitable initiatives, I have found great joy in giving back. These efforts reflect my belief in collective progress and the power of community action.
The Power of Balance
Through it all, I have learned the importance of balance in life. Juggling the demands of family, career, and community service is no small feat, but prioritizing self-care has been key to maintaining my health and well-being. Whether it is taking time to reflect, nurturing relationships, or engaging in activities that bring me joy, I recognize that a well-rounded life is essential for sustained passion and effectiveness in all areas.
PHILOSOPHIES AND BELIEFS
Throughout my journey, I have adhered to a core set of values and principles that have shaped both my personal and professional life. These guiding beliefs have not only defined my actions but have also been the foundation upon which I measure true success. My beliefs center around integrity, dedication, service, and the power of perseverance, which continue to influence the way I live and work each day.
Integrity
Integrity is the cornerstone of my life and career. I firmly believe that honesty, transparency, and ethical conduct are the most important qualities a person can possess. Whether in business, relationships, or community service, I have always strived to uphold these values. To me, integrity is not just about doing the right thing when others are watching but doing the right thing even when no one else is around. This unwavering commitment to truth and fairness has helped me build trust with those around me and has allowed me to create lasting and meaningful connections.
Dedication and Service
I believe that true success is not solely about personal accomplishments but about making a positive impact on others. As I progress in my career and personal life, I find greater fulfillment in uplifting those around me—whether that’s through mentorship, contributing to community initiatives, or simply being present for others. Service to others is a calling I hold dear. I believe that through acts of service, we create a ripple effect of positive change, inspiring others to give and grow as well.
My work in the accounting and corporate sectors is one avenue through which I practice dedication to excellence. But my community work—especially with youth empowerment and charitable initiatives—represents the more profound aspect of my service. Helping others realize their potential and supporting initiatives that benefit the greater good gives me purpose and joy.
Perseverance and a Positive Mindset
Another belief that has guided me throughout my life is the importance of perseverance. I believe that setbacks are not obstacles to success but are simply part of the learning process. Life’s challenges are inevitable, but they are not meant to defeat us. Instead, they serve as opportunities for growth, resilience, and self-improvement. I have learned to embrace every difficulty with the mindset that it is a lesson—an experience that will ultimately help me move forward and become better equipped to handle future challenges.
A positive mindset is essential in navigating life’s ups and downs. No matter the situation, I have always sought to focus on the possibilities rather than the problems, knowing that optimism and determination are powerful tools for overcoming adversity.
Cultural and Religious Beliefs
My cultural and religious values are the foundation of my worldview. Compassion, community, and the desire to uplift others are central to how I approach life. I believe that we are all interconnected, and that everyone’s success is intertwined with the well-being of the larger community. This is why I am so passionate about creating initiatives that serve others and promote collective progress.
My faith has been a source of strength and guidance, reminding me to live with purpose and to always strive for the betterment of others. The teachings of compassion and empathy have deeply influenced my approach to leadership, community service, and business.
Purpose and Impact
Ultimately, I believe that a life of purpose is one that works toward making the world a better place for all. Whether through professional achievements, charitable work, or personal growth, the true measure of success is how much we contribute to others’ well-being. It is not enough to succeed on our own; we must lift others as we climb, leaving a lasting and positive impact on the world around us.
This philosophy of service and selflessness continues to drive me as I move forward in life. It is my hope that, through my actions and choices, I will inspire others to adopt similar values, thereby creating a ripple effect of good in our communities and beyond.
National Engagement
One of my proudest roles is serving as the National Secretary of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Academics and Professionals Group. In this position, I have had the privilege of working with brilliant professionals and academics from across Nigeria. It is a platform where ideas flow freely, and where I can help bridge the gap between different sectors, creating an environment of mutual growth and development. My goal in this role is to connect the best minds and channel their collective energy toward achieving national progress.
Another significant aspect of my engagement at the national level is my involvement with the Nigerian Energy Regulatory Commission’s Abeokuta Forum. Through this forum, I have been able to contribute to important conversations about energy policy and sustainable development in Nigeria. Energy is the lifeblood of any economy, and I take great pride in being part of efforts that aim to ensure Nigeria’s energy sector is efficient, reliable, and sustainable for the future.

Reflections on Community and Legacy
Community service has always been at the core of my life’s mission. From a young age, I learned the importance of giving back, and I have carried this lesson with me throughout my journey. Through my involvement with organizations such as the Guildance Community Development Foundation, Charitable Youth for Nation Building Initiative (CYNBI), Odidere Community Development Foundation, and the Iwo Chamber of Commerce and Industry LTE, I have worked tirelessly to improve the lives of the underprivileged, marginalized, and underserved members of society. These efforts have allowed me to contribute to initiatives that empower youth, women, people with disabilities, and other vulnerable groups.
At the heart of this work is my belief that true success is not measured by individual accomplishments but by the positive impact we have on others. The scholarship programs, vocational training, and community development projects I have led are steps toward creating a society where everyone can thrive. As I look back, I hope that my legacy is one of genuine care and commitment to improving the lives of those in need. I want to be remembered not for titles or accolades but for the lives I’ve touched and the change I’ve fostered.
My community work has been a driving force, and I hope it inspires others to also dedicate themselves to uplifting others. The legacy I aim to leave is one of service, integrity, and compassion. I want future generations to look back and see a path of positive transformation, and I hope my story will encourage them to live lives of purpose and contribute to their own communities.

The support of my family, mentors, and colleagues has been invaluable in guiding me on this path, and I am deeply grateful for their encouragement.
Looking ahead, I remain committed to using my story to inspire and support others, especially those who face similar challenges. The work I have done through organizations like the Charitable Youth for Nation Building Initiative (CYNBI) and other community development foundations has been rewarding, and I hope to expand these programs to reach even more individuals in need, providing them with opportunities for growth, education, and a better quality of life.
In my professional journey as an accountant, I remain determined to continue growing within my field. I aspire to deepen my expertise in accounting, particularly in areas related to financial management and corporate governance. My goal is to contribute to the advancement of the discipline by providing insightful leadership, fostering ethical practices, and inspiring others to pursue excellence in their professional endeavors.
Beyond my career, I hope to leave a legacy for my family, one built on strong values of integrity, hard work, and compassion. I want my children and future generations to have a solid foundation of opportunities, inspiration, and the belief that they can achieve anything they set their minds to.
