The House of Representatives aspirant in Ibadan North federal constituency on the platform of the All Progressives Congress {APC}, Dr.Olamide Junaid, on Monday, described the death of the Oyo State APC Chairman, Barrister Isaac Omodewu, as a shock and calamitous development.
Omodewu died in the United States of America during a protracted illness.
Junaid expressed her sadness on the matter while reacting to the unfortunate development.
The Ibadan born-politician and prominent philanthropist described the late chairman as an astute political administrator and hardworking gentleman.
Junaid lamented that Omodewu passed on when his services were mostly needed, especially in the peace and reconciliation processes within the party.
In her words: ‘’The vacuum created by this unfortunate loss shall be difficult to fill. Barrister Omodewu’s wise counsel, sense of humour and fraternity with the generality of the party members across board shall be sorely missed’’.
While sympathising with the late chairman’s immediate family,p arty hierarchy, friends and others, Junaid urged them to be consoled with the fact that “God giveth and taketh”.
She, therefore, enjoined the party members at all levels to remain steadfast in finding solutions to the myriads of challenges confronting the party in the state.
