History was made on April 2, 2024 as the Achievers University, Owo, Ondo State, inaugurated a renowned scholar, Prof. Amos Oyesoji as its first Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic).
Aremu was inaugurated by the Pro Chancellor and Council Chairman of the university, Hon. Dr. Olabode Ayorinde.
The new DVC, a counselling psychologist and security scholar and analyst, is of the Department of Counseling and Human Development Studies at the University of Ibadan, Ibadan.
In his short remark, Prof. Aremu pledged to align his strategies to the vision of Dr. Ayorinde in moving the university forward.
The university marked  its 17 year of its operational existence on the day, having started operations on April 2, 2008 with 126 students and two faculties.The university now has 38 undergraduate programmes in four Colleges.
