Vice Chancellor, KolaDaisi University, Ibadan [KDU-I], Prof. Adeniyi Olatunbosun [SAN], has called on students to shun laziness and examination malpractices for them to achieve their lifelong dreams.
Olatunbosun, who made the call during the 2023/2024 matriculation ceremony of the university, told  the  newly admitted students of the university  that diligence remained the pathway to achieving a resounding success.
The matriculation was held for 366 students across Faculties of of Applied Sciences;   Arts, Management and Social Sciences;   Basic Medical Sciences and  Law.
The VC said: ‘’This occasion marks the official beginning and statutory event of a remarkable journey for the 2023/2024 set of new students, a journey that will shape your lives to create unique and valuable opportunities for you in the future.
‘’We are indeed pleased that the university continues to grow significantly and steadily, a testimonial which we are all gathered here to witness this day. The University, today, is matriculating 366 new students which include students admitted into 100 level through UTME, Direct Entry and Transfer students from other universities’’.
The professor who spoke on the theme: ‘’Education: A Pathway to a Secure Future’’, said: ‘’Therefore, don’t be lazy about your daily work. Do all studies, assignments, class work yourself. You can get a tutorial from a classmate or a senior but get it first and assimilate it, thus making the knowledge yours.
‘’Do not be involved in social vices: stealing, illicit sex, drug addiction, evil or immoral behaviour, examination malpractices, thuggery, bullying, and other criminal tendencies. Never get involved in examination malpractices. Be obedient, humble, respectful, hardworking and diligent’’.
